Congratulations to our Tasmanian Finalist - Sallee Zanardi.
Nominated by her daughter, Jamie George.
Sallee Zanardi has a ready-made cricket team in her family. In addition to her own four children, Sallee is the foster mother of seven children, three of which she has raised from birth. Her children range in age from four-months-old to 22 years and they include nine-year-old twins.
Sallee has been a foster parent for eight years and was nominated by her daughter, Jamie George, who is a respite carer for her mother and other families in the community.
“This woman has the patience of an angel and is determined to give her children the best experience in life she possibly can,” says Jamie.
“She treats her foster kids like they are her own and would sacrifice her own happiness to give them happiness.
“She is the most selfless person I know and never expects anything so she deserves to be mother of the year,” Jamie says.
